One Vista, Many Moods - Part One

I have been meaning to post this sooner, but you know how it goes, there is always something getting in the way of me updating the blog.  There I was, thinking I would have all the time in the world, when we moved here in April, to write blog post after blog post...  As yet it hasn't happened, but hopefully somewhere in the near future it just might.
For the time being, here is one of my sporadic contributions.

What a privilege it is to live here. This is a most beautiful spot to call home and my camera has been busy, trying to capture the so many different moods this place has to offer.
Now I have to tell you I just do click click click with my camera and I have no interest in photography, the technology/artistry behind it. I don't use photoshop or any other malarkey to enhance the pictures.  They are simple, unadulterated photos taken by a numpty.

We'll start off with the morning glory section.
Ok, these 2 where taken before we lived here. It was actually mid February on a visit.  Early morning sunrise in winter.

The next morning was a totally different mood as the mist was heavy and thick.

Early morning in April with the water surface like a mirror.

July morning.

And then today's dramatic mood.

Other pictures from daytime moods in the bay.

April

Summer

 Ominous skies

I call it the dinosaur mountain. Photos taken only about 10 minutes apart.

A wonderful sun harp
.

Nothing quite encompasses Ireland like a good few rainbows.

That's it for part one.  Part two will follow soon. Who knows, maybe tomorrow. ;-)
Hope you enjoy our vista (almost) as much as we do.

  1. Gorgeous! One of my photography profs in university did a series of photos showing the same lake, photographed from exactly the same spot, in the four seasons. Would make a great series for your wall: spring, summer, autumn, winter.
