Seeds, Glorious Seeds
They finally arrived last week. But not before writing an email of complaint on why they were taking so long. I ordered, like I've done many times, from The Organic Gardening Catalogue, early in February. After a while I was getting a little concerned that my order hadn't arrived. So I went to check the progress of my order on the website, only to notice that nothing had happened from the date of ordering onward. It said : processing. I left it at that and went to check again a few days later and they were still processing.
They replied to my email to apologise and my order would be out withing the week. True. My seeds arrived three days later.
Today, my mum and I will get ourselves organised and get started with sowing indoors. The tomatoes, chillies, peppers and the like should have been in already.
Don't you just love all sachets of seeds ? I know I do and I'm almost afraid to break the seal and wreck 'the look' of them.

DeleteHI, NICE SUPPLY, BUT YOU WILL BE A VERRRRY BUSY GIRL, JUST LOVE DOING MY NEW SEED PLANTINGS WHEN A FULL MOON IS DUE, HOPE YOU HAVE A SEASON,GEORGIE
ReplyDeleteI used to buy seeds from them but then had real trouble germinating them one year so I stopped. I also used to find it frustrating that they would run out of some of the sets like onions or potatoes as I wanted to buy them later and it was the end of their supply season. They are based in the south of England and my growing season is so much later but I didn't feel it was being accommodated by them. Have you had seeds from them before how do you find them?
ReplyDeleteThe first time I bought seeds from them was probably 2001 or earlier. I remember having a very simple black and white printed catalogue without pictures. It had a separate page for filling out with your order and then send it by snail mail. Ah, those were the days...
DeleteI have ordered on and off from them (even when living in France and Belgium) and never had problems. I only order the seeds, no sets as they don't send them abroad.
This time I also took some of their seaweed extract again because it worked well for me in the past. Lazy, I know, because I just have to go outside of my kitchen and gather all the seaweed I like - blushes.
I love them because of the wide variety of organic and heirloom seeds they offer.
Fingers crossed that I'll not have problems with the germination. I'll keep you posted of the progress. xxx...x
